‘CC-Bye Bye Baby!’ (#societybaby) is a mini karaoke club built under the roof of Research Pavilion that invites participants to sing songs with lyrics that are transformed from EU open access manifesto texts, infested by ‘baby’-s and ‘yeah’-s, accompanied by kitsch imagery of western karaoke videos and audio with bland pop-y beats.

Research Pavilion presents works by ten artist-researchers affiliated with different Nordic research programs, focusing on the curatorial theme of ‘Open Access’.

About Research Pavilion
Research Pavilion aims to present the significance of academic institutions as critical laboratories within contemporary art and to display artistic research to a wider art audience as well as the numerous professionals and experts visiting the Venice Biennale. Research Pavilion project is initiated by University of the Arts Helsinki together with Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, Zurich University of Arts, European Artistic Research Network, Society of Artistic Research, Norwegian Artistic Research Programme and the Swedish Art Universities.
